All in all, it is a wonderful anthology, containing standard classics we have all grown fond of as guitarists. Noad also states that Mertz was a great performer, but as a composer, not so great; Burn! If one has money and is planning to become more educated, I know I would and eventually will purchase the book for myself, because you never know what you may or may not learn from one that spent years studying romatic classical guitar and repertoire, as well as some of the standards that are out there after all, they are probably standards for a reason.
