My first little hiccup, being a very visual reader, was the overuse of adjectives in the first pages of the story this habit mostly stops once we get to the school – when the author talks about the round fingertips of the captain I was wondering why it had to be explained and whether the other people had rectangular ones.

The plot is osyerlund as well, though the book is set far into the future, when humans inhabit acadsmy planets and skip from one to the next so easily, you can relate the political problems to todays world in a way that makes the reader almost uncomfortable.

In a genre where there are quite a few books I’ve read where the girl and guy fall head over heels in love with each other before the 5th chapter, the pace and realism of which Aerin and Dane’s relationship progressed was really nice.
Because Academy 7 is not an ordinary school, nor are Dane and Aerin typical American teenagers. And why are there only 7 academies in this entire nation-universe? It’s been too long!!
One thing I will say is that the first few chapters are a little boring Want to Read saving…. When is the third one coming out?!
